Core Community Needs
United Way of Camden County continues to be committed to helping people. Every day thousands
of lives are affected by the programs we support. In order to resolve the problems facing Camden County, a strategic approach
is required. United Way of Camden County is moving forward in a new direction focused on improving conditions among our
community's most vulnerable populations. Moreover, we feel that the best way to accomplish this goal is through a strategic
comprehensive funding plan.
After much collaboration with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, private businesses and government officials, United Way
created bold initiatives designed to tackle the community's most important human service issues. This agenda is focused on creating
lasting community change. At its core, the agenda includes specific community initiatives - all designed to solve the community's most
pressing problems using a proactive fundamental approach. One way United Way of Camden County intends to further its mission is through
the Core Community Needs Initiative which states...
United Way of Camden County will continue to address the health and human services provided by former member agencies, with a focus
on basic needs services.
Beginning in 2007 all agencies in Camden County addressing Basic Needs Services will be eligible to apply for funding from the
Core Community Needs Fund. This RFP will be publicized via direct mail and on this website.
