Strategic Initiative Fund
In November 2004, United Way of Camden County’s Board of Trustees approved the creation
of the Strategic Initiative Fund (SIF). The purpose of this new investment vehicle is to address emergency needs in the
community, seize opportunities to fund critical community initiatives, form strategic partnerships, as well as reach
groups not normally funded through our regular fund distribution process.
United Way of Camden County is continually looking for additional partners in making Camden County a healthier stronger
community to live and work in. Agencies are encouraged to share information with United Way Initiative Staff regarding
agency programs, activities, and initiatives. Agencies are welcome to submit one page concept papers, describing the work
they do in the community. Throughout the year, United Way staff and volunteers will review all concept paper submissions
and make recommendations to agencies regarding submitting a full proposal for SIF funding.
