Volunteer Center of Camden County
Interested in Volunteering?
Becoming a volunteer is a great way to make a difference, give back to the community, and help someone in need. With just a small
investment of your time, you can.
The Volunteer Center of Camden County works to educate residents about volunteerism and meaningful volunteer opportunities while
enhancing community resources and empowering members of the community.
If you can drive a car, chat on the phone, program a computer, prepare meals, type newsletters, play the piano or repair a stairway,
a service provider needs you! Service providers listed with the Volunteer Center need those skills and many more. You can volunteer
for a day, once a week or for the rest of your life!
Volunteer opportunities for individuals include working directly with agency clients, management and technical assistance and board
membership. Possible situations include event coordination and registration, classroom instruction, grant writing, office support,
youth mentoring, committee membership, tutoring, classroom aide, drivers and much more. Whatever your interest and level
of participation, there is a volunteer opportunity available for you.
Company-wide volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to: Days of Caring, Initiative-Related Projects, Management and
Technical Assistance (Adoption). Days of Caring can include painting, yard work, office clerical assistance, event coordination or
a multitude of other activities
Additionally, there is always a need for training for social service providers by individuals with expertise in Finance,
Human Resources, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Strategy, Collaboration, Outcome Measurement, Fundraising and
Board Development.
